Kixtart website Login Logout Issue

I am not sure where to post this. I presume that I must be the only one as nobody seems to have reported this problem. Every time I login to the kixtart forum, I have to login twice. Without fail ! I use Windows 7 Pro Sp1, Firefox 11.0. The double login issue only occurs on Firefox. If I use IE, it logs in the first time.
However on both browsers, I seem to have to logout twice though. When I log out, if I go back to the forum its still showing me as logged in and I log out again. Then it shows me as logged off! This occurs in Internet Explorer as well as Firefox ! Not a big problem, but just wondered if anyone has any ideas why?

Obviously my computer is special. If I remember to do it, I will test this out on another computer and see if using a different pc makes any difference.
I only have a login problem with this website, it doesn't occur with any other, so it doesn't worry me at all.

Well I have tested the login problem at one of my clients on a freshly installed pc. I still have to login twice as it never logs in the first time. Hence I will assume the problem is a firefox issue with this specific website. Can I ask the forum administrator to close this post as there is nothing I can do on my side as it looks like a server side issue. Thanks

Actually, I have always had the same problem with Google Chrome, unless I set it to use autologin. On any type of PC, Be it XP, 2003, Vista, 7, 2008 or 2008 R2, with or without proxy, with or without firewall.

I never use the remember me on this site (anymore) and it hasn't done anything you describe.
I don't use chrome anymore either as it never seemed to work right.

I never said I used the "Remember me". I used Chrome's Auto Login.
Also, I said when I do use Auto Login, it doesn't have these problems, these problems only occur when I manually log in.

yea, I know what you did write. and I did response to that with my own observations.

that being said, autologin might work for you just because it automatically logs in twice.

only 2 reports don't make an huge issue but different browsers, users etc...
starting to think it might actually be an issue with the board itself.

Just for a data point, I don't have any issues logging in or out at home or at work. I most always use firefox.

To Arend, is your problem as you describe it, specific to this website or do you have this problem with other websites? I don't use Chrome - I hate that browser, so I don't know what Chrome does on majority websites.
To Lonkero, the client computer that I tested today is behind a firewall and proxy etc, but my computer at home which is the primary one I use is a normal home setup, ie Netgear broadband router, win 7 Pro setup. I agree with Arend, the issue is some compatibility with the website and the browser. I don't know whether most people on this site use IE, in which you don't notice the problem. I am using Firefox 11 just for reference. Just to advise you, in the past I had an issue with Firefox when going to the kixtart commands link on the kixtart homepage. It never worked properly and I had to use IE to view the page properly. Now that works, but whether it works because I have a newer Firefox version where they have fixed something or whether the site was updated I do not know. All I can suggest is that other people test Firefox with this website and their logins and you can see whether there is an issue with the browser or perhaps with some people's logins ? Thanks

I am a member of various Boards and don't have the problem anywhere else.
Like I said, it's not a problem for me, but it is a board problem.

Maybe its our login thats not working as should be Arend, although that makes no sense, because it works in IE properly, just not in Firefox. I don't know if the operating system affects the issue - I have windows 7 Professional on my pc - maybe Firefox works differently because of that. Oh well, I will live !

I tested this issue at one of my clients where I have never installed their computers and they had an old version of Firefox something like 3.53 and I had the exact same problem there. I can only conclude that the problem is specific to certain logins lik mine and Arend although he uses Chrome. The fact that he has the same problem but different browser does indicate some kind of a user profile issue with the kixtart forum. It makes no difference whether I logon to the board at any of my clients or which version of Firefox I use, hence I can only conclude my login profile is the problem.
