Hi,
is it possible to use that function to test websites at the internet when I'm sitting behind a firewall?

Jens,
I assume you really mean to ask if it works through proxy. The function uses "microsoft.xmlhttp" and so works with your IE browser settings. It is the same methodology that bbchecker uses.

Otherwise, whether it works through a firewall really depends on the firewall rules. That can vary between deny all and any-any.

It would appear that currently this UDF does not appear to function correctly, or at least in the manner I was hoping it would.

It seems that KiXtart will sit there and wait apparently for the http time out or other timeout before moving onto the next line in the script. It may work if the site is down for an extended period of time, however for my purposes I wanted it to respond sooner since the site I was checking only goes down for a few seconds at a time and I was wanting to generate logs of when this happended.

If you find that it does work for you please post a response as well.

it indeed uses IE's timeouts.
mm... if you don't crack them, the only way to define response limit is with serverxml... IIRC
