That may be but I believe the first 2 threads I gave all gave examples of Batch portions of the script to deploy kixtart. I believe Bryce's example will work for all OS. The last thread does contain a debate between but it also discusses several approaches to solving the problem with links to other threads. Yet he says this is BS? My guess is he wasn't interested in this issue.
Finding info on creating shortcuts is easy if one follows any of the suggestions given on this topic.
Also, his discussions seems to indicate he hasn't read some of the specialized info concerning Win9x in the manual.
Final point, Ballistic,
With Win9x machines you can not work with the HKCU hive during logon. It must be accessed through a separate script activated through the runonce key.
