I volunteer to say first the mirrors I know...
these all do not follow the rules to be called mirrors... well, maybe non of them.
anyway, they all seem to have the info that is valuable... so...

there should be at leas these:
UDF mirrors
mca: http://home.wanadoo.nl/scripting/bb-udf1.htm
ntdoc: http://kixhelp.com/udfs
lonkero: http://www.gwspikval.com/jooel/UDF

FAQ mirrors
mca: http://home.wanadoo.nl/scripting/bb-faq.htm
lonkero: http://www.gwspikval.com/jooel/FAQ

as far as I know, these are the current mirrors...
and as far as I know, there is yet to come one... asap.

anyway, feel free to make this topic more complete!

...or even comment on the mirror stuff.
as example (not sure how much time MCA has wasted on his collectors...) the UDF collector in NTDOC's site and mine, took a lot of man hours to get this far... (btw, thanks to howard bullock!)
sure we want some feedback how they should be developed or should them be dropped as unneeded...

and so on...

I find these quasi-mirrors to be very useful. They are a remote copy of the the important data. Nice to have in case of a catastrophic loss here at korg. Unlike some of MCA's summaries, these actually include the content and a link back to the original threads. Some, like the UDF libraries, are even compiled as CHMs for portability.

It has been a significant effort by dedicated KiXters and is much appreciated.

Thanks guys!

It will be updated once a week.

Thanks Jooel for your help in getting the script fixed from the old version.

Dear Lonkero,

Good stuff.

It wasn't only code for UDF collector.

In November 2001 we have implemented an alternative for your BBchecker,
which can handle with different kind of internet connections. Fast and slow
once works always with an acceptable response.
In 2002 we found the amount of traffic for our statistics each month too big.
Currently it has a total size (forums + profiles) of 600 MB. Also it was time
dependent, which can be a problem during our vacation period.

Now we need only the latest information. For one month about 30-40 MB.
After completing data traffic we can create
f.e. the reports
- BB forum index
- BB user summaries
- BB per month, per day, per weekday, per hour reports
- BB dynamic reports.

LLigetfa, to prevent unnecessary mouse movements and to verify for new
reactions on it we put a link back to the original threads.

kdyer, good mirror. A week ago there was no UDF mirror at all. Now
we have some alternatives.
greetings.
