I have an idea (brain fart actually). If within the first post of a UDF topic there was a link to a discussion thread, everyone could be asked to participate in the linked thread. Problem is, how would you get people to start a discussion thread AND place a link to it within their UDF post?

How would you keep people from ignoring the link and posting a reply in the UDF forum? I wonder if it is possible within UBB for the originator of the topic to close it? That would prevent replies, forcing them to either use the link or create their own thread.

I feel it is important to have discussions linked to the UDF otherwise a lot of good information could be missed.
