Just wondering if there are some tricks to run / test KiX under Linux... Use wget to grab the pages then parse using the language of your choice - awk, C, php, or just shell built-ins. Generate an html page and pop-up a browser and you are done. If you're feeling very brave you could do the whole thing in perl, however it's not known as the "pathalogically eclectic rubbish lister" for nothing
