I install to a SQL server DB. The setup took me about 15 minutes since I had to blow away the first database (stupidity).
I spent another 45 minutes installing a MOD (modification) to show and log some stats about active users.
We spent a day hashing out the nature of various forums. We locked some forums for "Announcements" so that non-moderators could not post (readonly). SNITZ has an email option that permits user to subscribe to forums. This emails the member when there is a new post (AKA poor man's mailing list). We plan on having our users subscribe to the "Announcement" forums so that we can post and they can come read. That way we no longer have to maintain mailing/distribution lists to notify LAN Admins of tests, fixes, etc.
