I think we're on the same page (HTML that is) [Smile]

Yes, today the UDFs are mailed as txt files, since that is what most people want for plug-n-play coding.

What I'm saying is that it would be just was easy for us to build an HTML page to your layout and specifications and mail it to you on demand. Also, it could be automatically sent to you if the UDF is updated.

And with syntax highlighting...

Which brings me to another question for the group:

When if comes to syntax highlighting, whether it be on the www.udflib.com or in the HTML help, the question becomes what colors to assign to the various key words. I'm sure we each have our own preference to go along with our favorite editor.

If anyone would like to participate in this pseudo survey, it would be very much appreciated.

If so, what is your favorite color for:
functions
commands
macros
strings
labels
comments
UDFs

We'll use the most popular color suggestions, and I believe we're going to add a user-specific custom color highlighting option in the future (for everyone that must have things their own way).

Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

wow!
you have had time to play with the registeration!
www.udflib.com
www.kixlib.com

brian, could it be possible to have the viewfunction or other cgi/asp return the fields when queried. like:
http://www.scriptlogic.com/kixtart/ViewFunction.asp?FN=UserRename&field=action

when, this field returned, the html-addings would be minimum.
this way collecting the data from your site would easy as drinking coffee.

Lonkero,
So what you are requesting is a method of passing a querystring in the URL, that would display the page in an alternate view, such as plain text or printer friendly, etc.?

Everyone else.... guess no one has any favorite colors, huh? Hopefully our color selections will please the majority...

brian, now as you are there, I placed a reply in your topic which was later moved to this forum...
new udflib or something was the name.

I placed a test udf in there and have 2 not liked things:
- one can't remove his udf
- the lib does not allow udf's without parameters (best udf's are like that)

what comes to your current question...
yes, something like plain text.
have you checked our library collection?

having a collection for both sites or at least search for both would be desired.

this way searching for all possibilities on one click would be faster and more "complete"

Will pass along the suggestions on how to make the UDF library better to our webmaster @ scriptlogic.com

I think I mentioned the same issues a while back -- perhaps with the new overhaul it will get done this time.

Will also pass along the clean text option suggestion so that you can use an HTML parser to extract what you need.

Brian,

when it comes to colors in Syntax Highlighting it seems to be that everyone is an individual ... but what do I tell here [Wink]

I adapted the color scheme from the first Kixtart editor I ever had (think it was KiXedit ?) and still use it with Uedit (so functions are 'pink')

Script on !
Good work
