FYI,
I have a compiled Windows html help file available on my website of the UDFs
KiXHelp.com
This is a work in progress project... It will allow you to have a searchable help file that includes all the UDFs without having to be Online. Always use the website for the most current code updates, as I will not be able to keep this file as up to date as the Web sites can.
Please let me know if you have any problems or suggestions.
The file name is: UDF_Libraries.chm and is available in the Downloads section. The current file size is 478Kb

Boy, we love our UDFs.
The next step would be to have Ruud put a hook into the next version of KiXtart that would autoload the UDFs from a compiled library if an undefined UDF is called in the code. We then could distribute the UDF library to all clients without bloating the script itself.

My pleasure..
I'll continue to add the UDFs from ScriptLogic and sort all of these as well. I will have to try another method (like email) to use the ScriptLogic one, otherwise they will be quite ugly in the helpfile trying to grab them from the website.
I'm also working on many other additions to the file, but thought the UDFs would appeal to at least a few of you.
Thanks for checking it out.

Hmmm.... Interesting question. I've also seen it debated that information that is available to be posted by the public in general can not be copyrighted and is available for free usage.
I suppose though from a Professional Courtesy point of view I should send an email to Brian and ask.
Brian...you there lurking?
I prefer the board in this case for the logo, but thanks for noticing.

hmmm... Do you know Brian's member number here?
Trying to locate him on the ScriptLogic site is not easy.
p.s. I think Lonkero is trying to set some record of posts over there at ScriptLogic as well. He seems to be in every other post.

Hey Ron, thanks for the PM. I just got back from a trip to the northeast and received it.
Yes you have permission, just include a link to the site and author info.
That said, perhaps we could help so that you don't have to type as much...?
Remember, that the UDF library @ scriptlogic.com is a database. When UDFs are viewed, you're actually looking at a page in HTML that was generated by ASP/VBscript from the information in the DB.
It would therefore be relatively easy for us to write a short program (could be an ASP page) that would 'compile' the UDFs, in the html layout you request, and mail them to you as htm pages. Basically we have this engine already, but your layout would be different. You'd probably have to still define them initially in the HTML help's TOC and file list, but it would make updates a breeze.
To make it even better, we are converting the site to ASP.NET and the UDF library will be upgraded to include full syntax highlighting (just like your favorite editor), when viewing the UDF source code.
Hope you think it is as cool as we do
BTW: phase II will be to add syntax highlighting to script code posted within forums also.
--------------
Back to the htlp: If we coordinate the effort (which shouldn't take too much work) and enough people like the idea, we could even a link into the KiXtart HTML help (that we maintain) to the UDF library CHM file.
Cheers, -Brian
PS. Mailing me direct is easy, our company uses a first.last @ scriptlogic.com format, and the last name is Styles.
