Hey guys, I am working with Jooel to provide a solution that can maintain a UDF library on a Linux server.

I have made some logic changes to his original code and would like to get some feedback / suggestions so that I can just about wrap this up by the time Jooel get back from vacation.

I sent you that WTSManager DLL. Take a look at it. I know you said you'd like to add WTS support to your work-in-progress but suspect you were thinking more along the lines of UserMangler properties.

There seems to be a need for non-admin WTS functionality as well.

It will show up eventually. Was the DLL zipped or renamed? If not the mail scrubbers will remove it.

Not certain on Jooel's intention, but I think he wants the proggy to run on, as well as host the summary on kixtart.org server.

That way it can be run more frequently without hogging the pipe.

The web pages are only temporary; on my site. Once the formatting / content is nailed down I plan on giving the source to Jooel so that he can run it on the server of his choice.

I do like the new functionality as well of sorting the information by poster as well. [Cool]

I spoke with Joel last week about this as well. Not sure that I can actively update it "live", but I can schedule my own workstation to run it and update my site KIXHELP.COM http://www.kixhelp.com with the file maybe say every few hours or at least once a day.

We can both actually host the updates, but the reason I chose my site name is to make it easier to remember. I figured KIXHELP.COM would be much easier then yours or Joels, or most of these other KiXtart site names.

I will be working on cleaning up the site to make it a little more pleasing and useful as well.

I'm new to making web pages. [Wink]

Can you please send me the code you have and any perl requirements you may have.

Can't speak for Howard's code but when Jooel wrote his it was so intensive that he figured is several people stated using it that it would have a detrimental effect on this board. That's why I think he wants to get Henri to host the summary.

Sorry, Jooel sent me his code as a place to start. I can only in good conscious send the source to him. He can distribute it as he sees fit.

If this will be run on a Win32 computer, I can compile it like my other utilities then there would be no dependency on installing Perl on the computer executing the code.

The code is rather sloppy now and needs to be tightened up anyway.

Have some comments:
The function header word looses it's semicolon, thus uncommenting it and effectively breaking the copy/paste.

Have one standard for listing the UDFs, either with the parentheses ActiveService() or without it in your left frame.

Clicking on the slider uses an active (or most recent window). I always open a couple extra IE windows after I start working. that way it grabs one of them.

Double-clicking on the list opens a new window.

Uncheck this: Reuse windows for launching shortcuts

That should hopefully fix your issue.

As far as hosting the script for Joel... as it currently is it would not matter as it would go through a normal net connection and hammer it.
The code would need to be modified to run against folders, so not sure if Howard can code for that or not, and/or if Henry would be willing to run it or not.
