I am running a .kix file with the following lines in it:

BREAK OFF

; ASSIGN VARIABLES FOR HOME & WORKGROUP DIRECTORIES
$X="$$"
$S1="\\SOMLH2\"

; MAP HOME DIRECTORIES ACCORDING TO CLOSEST SERVER
$U=@USERID
$HOME=$S1+$U+$X

USE F: $HOME ; MAP PERSONAL SHARE, HOME DIRECTORY

; MAP WORKGROUP DRIVES

IF INGROUP("SOM\SOMDEAN_ISU")
USE G: $S1 + "ISU$"
ENDIF

The drives APPEAR to map, but when I try to access them in Windows Explorer, it generates the following error:
F:\ is not accessible. The network name cannot be found.

HOWEVER, if I simply map a drive to \\somlh2\sharename, it maps perfectly.

THANKS for any help any of you can provide!
