We were making in-jokes. While Canada has 10 provinces, Ontario is physically, economically & population wise just over a 1/3 of the country. Many Canadians outside of Ontario seem to feel we are pampered know-it-alls who dictate how the rest of the country is run. Also, in Ontario, half the population of the province lives in 1 city - Toronto. So you can imagine non-Torontonians opinion of Toronto.
Les is just expressing the typical Canadian angst against Central Ontario & Shawn is distancing himself from the evil city that we all love to hate.
Beware this is my opinion only - Shawn, Les, & other Canadians might offer a different spin.
PS: Yes, I have watched SouthPark & I thought it had a Canadian type of humour even if it is Americian. [ 09. October 2002, 18:39: Message edited by: Jack Lothian ]
