it is accessed as a COM object, therefore Kix, VB, etc, an access it.

As it is a seperate item from kix, you aren't likely to find a singular book that defines both.

In the COM forum here are manu examples of kix code utilizing WMI

is there anything more specific I can address?? there are many scripters here that are primarilly programmers as well as others that are administrators looking into scripting to keep from having to walk around.
