First of all, you should specify that you are actually talking about a KiXforms script.

Secondly, you should also post the script you are talking about as the fragments are not really helpful.

I also do not see any clock referenced inside your script. I only see a counter being incremented.

Based on the insufficient info provided by you, I'd say that

Finally, please read the KiXforms Manual and the example scripts on http://www.kixforms.org as they do explain what the DoEvents loop does, namely process events happening withoin KiXforms.
