Lonkero,

Are you using SP-2 of IE5.5?

In today's Lockergnome, there was a link to the fixes that were addressed..
http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/q303/2/01.asp

I will check this out when I get into work.

HTH,

- Kent

As I changed the topic, I inform that new release is there for download.
it's updated for new macro's found in final, but it still runs on RC-1

also it has long term bug fixed. the winhttp has undocumented "feature" and because of that feat. the script used to loose the contact to BB.
now that is worked around.

also because I needed to find that bug, I improved debug mode a lot.
if you don't understand what it says, but it to log in to file and send the file to me.
it's a simple switch but it says if some object is leaking and much more...

so get it, test it and critizise it.

btw. the place is in the fisrt post.

cheers,

Kyder,

FYI - I installed the I.E. 5.5 SP2 and QuickTime v5.02 quit working. I un-installed the I.E. SP2 and QuickTime starts working again. I have only see/tested this on one box so far and have not check with QuickTime or MS to see if anyone else has reported it or not.

Made a new record before winhttp crashed!
isn't this wonderfull.
debug mode says:
quote:

loopcount runtime vartype page0123 vartype memory0123 vartype history0123456789 vartype WinHTTPobj WinHTTP response temp
...
7591 1 days 1 hours 21 minutes 8888 8888 8888888888 9 13174
7592 1 days 1 hours 21 minutes 8888 8888 8888888888 9 13174
winhttp crashed... recreating...
winhttp Object trashed.

winhttp Object Recreated.
WinHTTP initialized
Contacting kixtartBB...

and after that kix crashed.
I'm not sure, is it kix or winhttp that causes kix to crash, but...
I try to make it stabile with the executables I have.... that means winHTTP 5.0 sdk and newest available kixversion.
I'm fighting back!

Reply to the Quicktime issue:

IE5SP2 doesn't support Netscape-style plug-ins anymore, it'll only support ActiveX-style plug-ins. You will need to update the Quicktime plugin in order to get it working again.

Thanks Jens,

I went and got it a coupe day ago.

I should have known this would happen, since there was discussions on removing all kinds of features that MS did not own or could not get their way. Kind of like, its my way or I'm taking my ball and going home
