Can't KILL WKIX32.exe from task manager either [Frown] I guess I'm stuck with the Misc window until I reboot.

Just had the misc option window come up disabled for some reason ... beeps when clicked on - have to kill process. Might want to check into that piece of your script ...

Is that the same error you just had hoby ?

let me see...
yes, 2.1.0.34 was the version...

could you do some testing for me?
un-register the kixforms.dll and re-register it.
check also it's fileversion on your system32.

I have bad feeling that there is something going on with old kixforms version.

after the rapid click was enabled I have had n...
well, I have actually...

next time, when it happens just re-press the misc button on mainform. you may need to minimize&restore it even 2 times but at some point the misc-form starts to respond.

have no clue what has caused that but quess the doevents(1) has something to do with it.

Yes, Shawn that was the behavior. I could then set focus to it, but to no avail.

Lonkero, are you limited by a width restriction for topic? Could the whole topic be put into the field? If so then we could resize the column to see more.

How about a feature whereby if I select an item from the listview, then click a button, checker will actually go out and pull in the text of the message, then present it in a little textbox dialog (that can be converted to richtext down the road ) [Wink]

Would it be less traffic and overhead just to collect the full text one time and stuff it in the field?

I quess you mean the title as putting 1Mb in one field might be too much [Razz]

I just ran to some width problems before I knew how to manipulate slider size by the size of font*length of string.
also listbox width had to be limited and this was the best way.

thus, worked it around by simply taking from line:
code:
&nbsp;
<a href="http://www.kixtart.org/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=13;t=000365"
title="BBChecker - 1.4 (The next generation)">
BBChecker - 1.4 (The next...</a>

the shorter link... and thought it would be more suitable... but actually, now as I think of it, I have no reasons to keep it that way.

well, I've been taking a lot vacations lately and truly not by free will.

our company just is so small (only ~250 workers) that there is no need for fulltime system specialist...

what comes to shawn's suggestion of the box... I should indeed have at least one page of an topic in that box...
I thought it at the time of 1.1 when had a fantasy of integrating the codeparser into checker.
it's not hard but requires some more hours of work though.

and what comes to hoby's thing of getting the stuff and having it "around" for possible usage?
did I understand right?
if so where would I store it?
as far as I know, ppl have limited capacity of virtual mem and hd space...

one thought that still is in my dreams is to have a scanner on all forums simultaneously instead of the mainpage.
this way success process on huge update gaps would increase to 100%

also, one dream is to write the PM's and receive them with checker...
e-mail with CDO is also a possibility, but then again, where do I draw the line.
I know that already les is suffering the bandwidth exchaustiveness of the new features.

Was it already mentioned that BBChecker wont start if you try to "sign-on" to the board after tossing your cookies (before actually loging-in) ... ???

...eh?

didn't get the timeline out of your question but as far as I know, it should not work "correctly" if th user is not logged in at the time of start.

haven't tested what happens then though.

No problem Lonkero. My thought was that you brought back title="BBChecker - 1.4 (The next generation)" but then chopped it for display. I thought that my suggestion would have been less code. Just use the entire title and cover part of it by keeping the column width shorter as it is.

You have done great work here and I find it quite acceptable as is. It makes keeping up with the board very easy. [Smile] [Cool]

Jooel - yeah, what you said - thats what I meant ... might want to put some logic around that, the script throws a syntax error.

Howard, agreed - its hard to believe this program is actually a kixtart script.

I always wanted to ask...Why does the app minimize everytime I use a button? The user (read lazy me) has to then maximize it before anything else can be done?
