there is no one other than les using old under 30k bandwidth, so making the size double at download time and securing the program really works is right way to go.
the thing about adding kix is that it has to be the right version working for your install.
the same as I do for checking for kixforms, you should check the kixgui build and install if nessecary...
my installer size doubled just because had to include msm license blaa in it.
and finally, leaving part of the packet is just the same as creating one of these linux patches... you have to fight 10 hours to make them suit your system.
I would make the full package and then maybe add the package stuff in subdir at the download area named dist or something.
