You can alwqsys check for the size of the folder to be backed up. If the foldersize is bigger than the CD-RW capacity then you'll have a problem anyway since you will have the user to switch CD-RWs.

A much better way might be to have a central tape backup and back up the documents folders to tape through a hidden share for example. This approach would be much less error prone and the investment would be less in the long run. (E.g. 20 x CD-RW drive = $1000, low-end tape backup system with 60GB capacity ~$1000).

Managers like high ROIs!
