I have tried the code supplied by Ruud and it is not working for me. Here is the slightly modified code that I used:
code:
'Kix Version: @KIX' ?
$ADSPath='LDAP://WTSADMIN1/O=Michael French/OU=TEST CELL/CN=Recipients/CN=Administrator'
$x = getobject( $ADSPath)
if $x
dim $ar[0]
$ar[0] = "home-mdb"
$x.GetInfoEx( $ar, 0 ) @ERROR ? @SERROR ?
? $x.get("home-mdb")
else
'@ERROR - could not get object!' ?
endif

Here are the results that I get:
code:
Kix Version: 4.02
1
COM exception error "GetInfoEx" ((null) - (null)) [1/1]

code:
Kix Version: 4.10
-2147352567
COM exception error "GetInfoEx" ((null) - (null)) [-2147352567/80020009]

Any ideas? Did the code work for you Howard?

I am running Exchange 5.5 SP4 on Win2k SP2 (no post SP2 update yet as it breaks our cluster).

I still have not gotten this to work. In truth it fell off the radar. I will look at this again in the near future.

Currently, I am visiting family in Pittsburgh and am very internet connection and bandwidth challenged. As a result my particpation on the board may be limited until Sunday.

Howard,

Do you have something in PERL that will enumerate the mailboxes for a given Domain UserID? I would have thought that it would be quite simple, but I just can't get KIX to do it!!

Thanks,
Michael.

Yeah, I have a perl solution. See LookupMailboxFromAccount.exe

If it is not quite what you want let me know what is needed.

Hi Howard,

There is only one more property that I need - obj-view-containers. There are several containers that our users could have been created in (and I haven't been successful reading that property using KIX either).

Would it be hard to add a command line option to specify a list of properties to be read from each mailbox?

Thanks,
Michael.

I have just been trying to do this from ASP and I get very similary errors - could it be a limitation of Exchange 5.5? Could Ruud have tested the script using Exchange 2000? Would anyone out there be willing to try Ruuds script with Exchange 2000 for us?
