Ron,
I take that to mean you enjoyed the game ?
KiXlander is a tribute to that great space arcade game of the 1970's - Lander - but this time, given the good olde KiXtart treatment.
Here's a screenshot:
KiXlander is the first of a couple of games that are either in the works - or in the planning stage. I sort of view this as the "first-generation next-generation" kixtart gaming script. I hope you enjoy this script it as much as me and my 7 year son have ...
To run this script, you will need KiXtart Version 4.0, a Windows NT/2K or XP machine and the latest version of the Kixforms Library (Build 7). I've included everything you need in the distribution package. This package is a little larger than usual - about 1.3 MB to be exact.
I won't go into much detail about the game here - but please, if you have any comments, feedback, questions or suggestions, feel free to post here, in the COM forum... Specifically, I'm looking to improve the gravity equation to get a better feel on the game ... make it more "space-like" ... maybe with version 4.10 of Kixtart and the new floating point math support, the gravity effect can be made to seem realistic indeed.
So put your space suits on, turn-up your speaker volume and try to land this sucker without crashing.
Get KiXlander here:
