Does anyone know of a way to take owneship of a file in a script? I've got some real permissions problems at work and need to programaticlly take ownership as the administrator, if I don't have access rights to a file.

mmantei,
I am fairly new to Kix but I think the info you'll find at the below url could help you. I haven't even read it all myself but again, I think it can help.

I know people will probably dislike me for this, but here is a VBScript implementation - Manage File System And Registry Security... ( Vbscript ).

Now, to convert from VB to Kix? Takers? Volunteers?

Thanks,

- Kent
