Get a DOS 5 manual, which I think was the last full DOS reference manual.That together with the file below might be enough.
C:\WINNT\system32\ntcmds.hlp
Additionally, I think Brainbuzz & scriptlogic have a lot of nice articles that discuss rather advance stuff. Print the articles & put them in a binder.
Personally, I can usually get by with the file mentioned above. I rarely need to go beyond it.
