I believe that a lot of the posts here ends up whith someone asking: what version of KiX are you using ?

So i would suggest that, in the add topic page on KiXtart.org there could be a KiX-version choice field that should be presented in the header of the post, maybe also a selction box: use Win9x

If this should be new fields in the personal profile or saved as cookies could be discussed !

Users may not remember or see what it is set to. In my opinion I think doing it the way we currently do is probably the best way.

Hopefully the poster will let us know, if not then we can ask.

That's just my opinion... Others?

perhaps if there was a field on the new message screen to request kix ver. that wouldn't be to bad... but probably just overkill.

You can't 'idiot proof' this, as they just make better idiots.

Perhaps I'll tell the story of "if you get an email that says to delete a file to fix a virus, do NOT do it, as it will break your computer" email that I sent out to my office...
