Hello every body this is my very first message on this forum. I have very simple that if a user is member of more than one group then how could we map both the directories on G:\ in windows NT enviornment. It is really easy in Novell Netware.
ah. are you saying that you can have with novell mapping that maps \\server\share1 and \\server\share2 to one driveletter and there is no interference between those shares?
Hello Lonkero, no you can't mapp two or more shares to one driveletter. Normally. But you can workaround that with the Distributed File System (DFS) network service which is bultin in Windows2000 and can be downloaded for WindowsNT 4.0. It needs only to be installed on the server with the shares.
