I think that this is a way to list all of the available OLE objects on your system....

How to use these objects... that is another matter

code:

break on cls
$rootkey = "HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\"
while @error = 0
$key = enumkey("$rootkey",$index)
if keyexist("$rootkey\$key\ProgID") = 1
? readvalue("$rootkey\$key\ProgID","")
endif
$index = $index + 1
loop

Shawn, does this look correct to you? or am i completely off base here.....

Bryce

off base ? you're not only on base, you hit a home run ! This script would make a great beginning to a "COMClean.kix" script. You know, where you scan the registry looking for orphaned (uninstalled) COM objects and then "clean house" !

Shawn.
