I try to avoid WriteProfileString.

I format the entire file into one string variable and then perform one WriteLine to write the whole file one time.
I then use a Perl program to gather all the files on my share and parse them writing a delimited file that can be used in Excel or imported into Access. If a SQL database is the target my Perl program sends the parsed data directly there.
