the service shouldn't be ran as localsystem.

been thinking of installing one, but it has to be changeable/dynamic:
  • the things to check have to be changeable
  • it has to be able to install
  • software to install has to be changeable
this means:
  • the service needs to installed with network rights
  • you need to have a central place in network where the script has read rights to read it's instructions
  • the script needs to have a place to write it's collected info
there might or might not be service running on server.
it there is, the client service does not so much wisdom but it isn't needed.
anyway, with this type of "deployment" service, you can put SMS in shame.
