Hello all!

quite cryptic subject line there [Smile]

I have copied the script einhirn used in This post, and after some tweaknig and rewriting i got it to work on my Win2k3 server.
except for one little detail... [Frown]

I can't get the following line to work:
shell "mv "+ $filename+" done"

Even after that I changed it so it says "move" instead of "mv"

My line looks like this:
shell "move "+ $filename + " done\" + $username + ".ini"
and all i get is "Can't find the specified file"

Anyone got an idea?

"move" is a shell built-in, "mv" is an add-on command, probably from a *nix shell suite.

To get the built-in to work you have to spawn it under DOS interpreter control:
quote:
shell "%COMSPEC% /C move "+ $filename + " done\" + $username + ".ini"

Damn!
That was a fast answer [Big Grin]

Of course I need to use "%COMSPEC% /C"
Duuuh! [Razz]

My bad...
I'm going to blame this on the damn heat we got here... (got the heat record in sweden two days ago)

Thanks for the reply!

Ehrrrmm...

Gotta be the heat [Wink]

No, actually I think it's the "Old DOS habbits die hard" tingy

(I have now changed it to use the "MOVE" cmd in kix)

Thanks for the tip Lonkero

Hmm..

This is interesting.. IIRC, there are a couple of ports of *NIX Utils from, for example - CygWin.
