I wonder if anyone can help me. We would like to change passwords on our NT domain on a regular basis (of course), but when users change their password on the domain. They have to type in the old password to get into Windows98. I would like these 2 passwords to be the same, or the Win98 password to be disabled. Can this be done with Kix?

I know this may not be the right forum, but you guys/girls know so much... :-)

You can disable users from changing passwords in their local stations and to force them use only the domain password and policy by adding this line intoyour logon script:

writevalue("HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Network","DisablePwdCaching","1","REG_Dword")

try this in youe test envoirment and then pass it to production.
