ok.... try updating everything the kixtart .exe, the .dll's, and reinstall the kxrpc service's to make sure that everything is using the same version.

kix.ini is only needed if you are not running the kxrpc service on all domain controllers.

try it on a test machine and see what happens. here are the dll's for both win95 and win98.
