Seems pretty clear from error messages that your KixRPC service not functioning properly. Have you uninstalled and reinstalled? Any notations in the WinNT server event logs? Is Windows NT RPC service properly running (check services under control panel). If you've stopped WinNT RPC service, I would suspect (but never tested) that KixRPC service would also experience problems.

Also - what entries, if any, exist in Kix.ini file, which helps point Win9x systems to a KixRPC server?
