KXRPC Server error

On a win'95, after logon, i am missing one share to a server. The local log file gives me the error: " Failed to locate/connect to a KXRPC server Error : Kan het netwerkpad niet vinden. (0x35/53)" Can't find networkpath. So I'm kind of lost at the moment.

He Bryce, thanks for your fast reply!I am using two NT4.0 domaincontrollers who are both running the KXRPC-service. In the script i am mapping different networkdrives to these servers and one mapping to a networkdrive on a NT server who is not a domaincontroller ( normal server ) The otherones are working fine but the last one to the normal server doesn't work?

Just a thought... Are the share names the same as the directory names and if not, are you perhaps using the wrong one?

Croezen, you still haven't told us much about the share in question. What is the directory name? What is the share name? And finally, what is the command line you are using to map it?

Could you try a sharename with 8 chars instead of 9 ?Wild stab in the dark, here... If this is it you'd problably want to update some DLL's. ------------------ Greetz, Roger the Young ------------------------ The code is out there... ------------------------

Cant't be that problem. I can connect manually so in my opinion it must be a problem in the script of with kixtart?I have tried it on my machine (win'98) and it works fine if that users logs in. The user has a win'95 machine. If just tested something; if i execute the script manually on the client it seems to work fine? !!! Hé I am using $R= SETCONSOLE("MAXIMIZE") in the logonscript but it didn't seem to work, now when executing the script manually it maximizes the screen correctly ?? ------------------ Eastborn Slaapsytemen BV * Eddy Croezen

Hi Guys,First Bryce; ? @serror gives "toegang is geweigerd" a my windowsversion is dutch so ... in english "no permission" Alright Roger, I am sure of the version. I only update on the server so I can't have any different versions. After logon it works fine so it must be a permissionproblem while login on. (Something like the server is not know while executin kix. or something of that kind? ) It seems to become a nice little problem. Bryce can't you come over and look at the problem? Coffee is ready. ------------------ Eastborn Slaapsytemen BV * Eddy Croezen

Yes the server is in the domain.Straingly enough that the win'95 client gives a problem and the win'98 goes OK?
