if you run kix from the netlogon share that is a 163k file that has to be sent, also don't forget the dll's and those are another 116k. then toss in the logon.bat(mine is 1.2k) and then the logon script(mine = 19.4) and you have about 300k.

with a proper logon script, you can make this 300k the very first time and copy kix and dll's needed to the local computer and call the local kix32.exe from the logon.bat file. The next time that someone logs on to that computer you will only have to send the logon.bat and kix script about 20k.

wen sending 20k vs 300k over a 56k frame relay connection it makes a HUGE difference
