I manage a network where each user has about 30 network printers attached.
Occasionally, the default printer jumps to another network printer (I believe when the computer is rebooted)
One way around this problem (a microsoft bug), is to assign default printers
However, I cannot assign a default printer to a local printer because each user who has a local printer has a different printer. Therefore, people with local printers occasionally have their default printer jump on them and they end up printing to the wrong printer.
I would like to create a script where when the user logs on, it would scan the machine for a LPT port (where the local printer resides) and then make that printer the default printer.
Any help would be appreciated.
