i currently administer a very secure NT4 SP4 network. I use NT auditing and require thet the auditing is copied to shared folder on the server. Currently I copy the audit log files to the shared folder then clear the event logs daily so as we have daily event logs. This works fine using cleareventlog from kixtart 3.61.
Now for my question after I clear the eventlogs i wish to write a event to the now clear event logs that the logs were cleared at Date/time. The command logevent gives me an error, the information in the manual is very limited. Can some one please tell me how to clear the event logs then log this in the now cleared event log from a kixtart scriptThanks
