I am trying to map a drive using NT pass through authentication... and it isn't working !

USE X: "\\servername\share$$" /user:domainname\@userid

What am I missing ?? The "domainname" is not the login domain for the user, but has an identical account on it.

The script works if I explicitly spell out the userid to be the users logon ID, but I need to pass it the Kix equivalent of %username%

Place this right after your net use.

I get back a 2205, but I am confused as to why... The user ID is valid, and you can map a drive using NT tools, such as NET USE. It is only the KixStart USE command that seems to be having the problem.

Q. We run KixStart from the NETLOGON share on the DC's. Does KixStart require any special permissions on the CLIENT ?? side.

Are you passing through the password as well?
