Wow I haven't been on the board in a long time! I was just here checking it out because I'm programming my own web-based Email/Contact Management software and was looking at UBB for ideas. How funny that the first message I read has got me listed! [Smile]

I haven't been programming Kixtart since just before the functions were about to be put in.. I've got a little (well quite big) multi-platform enterprise management solution written in all Kixtart (and some supporting libraries) which does everything from inventory on all HW to staged software deployment, scheduler, full web interface for config and reporting (done in perl), etc etc etc.. needing conversion to the latest version of code! That should be ahh, fun... one of these days.

Instead of working to administer tons of domains and clients, I've pretty much been working to move our company to a 100% web based solution for all of their applications. This means even retiring the old office apps. I probably should just run terminal services for all the trouble, but it's really satisfying to consolidate and fully integrate all business logic around a large well structured SQL database with a lot of meta-tables. In this scenerio the client administration needs dramatically decrease. I've been working in the financial sector, so I suppose I'm only really able to get away with this on mass scale because there are no heavier apps for stuff like physics/engineering. But it's been nice for a change. Everything seems to come in waves, centralize, decentralize, centralize, hybridize.. who knows what's next.

Anyways, glad to see the board is still kicking. It's always been a great place for the exchange of interesting ideas and bits of code amongst a friendly crowd.
