The routine that call the HardWAreInventory script tests whether it can do WMI. I have a function ISWMICapable() that returns true if WMI is installed and I also have a function that installs/updates WMI if it is not installed. I will post them later on once I finish the inventory script.

I'm currently thinking about the best database structure for the output. The database will then be read by an ASP page on our intranet and I just need to click on an IP address or computer name to get a list of installed hardware components and software packages.
