Could the "Today's Active Topics" be configured to return topics that were updated in the last 24 hours instead just dropping everything and starting over at whatever local time it currently occurs. The list gets blanked when I turn my computer on in the evening to follow-up on the days activity. This bulletin board is used and supported globally. Please consider permitting everyone to review the list of recently active topics. [ 03 April 2002, 03:55: Message edited by: Howard Bullock ]

Changing the "todays topics" to "The last 24 hours" is a good idea
Changing the time that it rolls over is not
This is a globally accessed board, and if you shift the time you're going to bollix it up for someone, somewhere.
Additionally, although the rollover is quite close to my "day", It drops all the posts that come through in my "previous evening", which means I still have to trawl the forums for posts before switching to todays topics.
A 24 hour rollover solve this nicely.

Hello Howard Bullock:
Your request to Infopop Customer Care has been received. Your ticket number for this request is 1017983868-EFL.
Here is what you submitted to us: --------------------------------- Subject: Today's Active Topics
Message: This feature is problematic for bulletin boards such as http://Kixtart.org that are global in nature. The feature starts a fresh page of topics at midnight local time which happens to be in the middle of the day for many active users. The more active users would appreciate a way to change this behavior to return a list of active topics within the last 24 hour period. This way regardless of where in the world we are we can get a quick list of topics that need our attention any time of the day.
---------------------------------
You will be notified by email as soon as one of our representatives responds to your inquiry. At any time, you may view your support ticket (and see its status) by using this link:
Sincerely,
Infopop Customer Care Infopop Corporation

Howard,
We looked at the situation, and at this time there isn't a one-line code fix that would correct the problem.
Our UBB™ project manager is aware of the situation, and he informed me, we will try to incorporate a fix in the next major UBB version release.
Please let me know if you have further questions or concerns.
Kind regards,
Customer Support Lead Infopop Corporation

Dear,
A good idea. Our vision is that it is a pity that the short descriptions are gone by starting a new day, but it isn't insurmountable. Each forum can show modified topics since last ten days. Most active forums are starters and scripts forum. greetings.
btw: the "today" list should be related to users profile setting.

Dear,
For use it is enough to find modified topics since a specified date. A plain text example can be something like:
code:
