Anonymous Anonymous Unregistered	Does anyone have a script that would backup the Event logs (.evt) on remote servers? I'm interested in backing up the event logs for Application, Security, and System logs once a month to a backup folder on the servers hard drive.

Also, if you backup a remote log, it is backed up to the remote's disk, not the local one. That is, it is backed up to the disk of the computer who's log you are backing up. So, a global administrator account should be able to do the backups but not a global user. You could schedule a task with 'Task Scheduler' that runs your event log backup script under an administrative account once a month. _________________________ There are two types of vessels, submarines and targets.
