Hi all,

I am using cpu.exe in conjunction with a kix script to make a catalog of processors we have in the company and noticed that cpu.exe is reporting false CPU speeds ( ) from time to time. It happens more often than not when the file is run from a network share. Is there a fix for this? Has anybody else encountered this problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Dear,

We suppose you are using f.e. our cpu.kix script with required cpu.exe 2.15 program.
CPU.EXE is a program from other persons. The way of calculation CPU speed can be in-
fluenced by the media using. Running CPU.EXE from a floppy disk may return also
an incorrect value.
Our suggestion is:
first copy CPU.EXE to your local drive and run it from that drive.
greetings.
