Although this is not much:

$iSize=val(replace(ltrim(substr(readline(2), 25, 15)), ",", ""))

I am impressed by the way I can just heap layer upon layer of functions in KiX and it just keeps on coming. (Replace is a UDF) I'm sure others have layered more than this. Maybe we could have a competition

shawn,
that's easy.
your syntax is little bit too simple.
this one works nicely:
code:

break on
$execute = "$$=Execute('$$$$execute='+chr(34)+'@date'+chr(34)+' $$$$execute')"
$= Execute("$execute")
exit 0

Ok, for My 100th post, I had to respond to Lonkero's statement " I'm glad I don't have a woman."
code:

break on
$execute = "$$=Execute('$$$$execute='+chr(34)+'@date'+chr(34)+' $$$$execute')"
$= Execute("$execute")exit 0
if @error <>0
? "Need to get a date"
else
? "Need to get rid of date"
endif
