Question, when I run my logon script, I'm leaving a trail of kixtart.log files on 9x machines because it's trying to use the kixtart rpc service. So here's the question:

How do I know which statements will try to use the kixrpc service, so that I can eliminate them from my script? I eliminated a piece that looked for Local groups from 9x machines, but the log file is still being created.

Dear,

Some functions or better macro calls you can eliminate. They will always
be executed during a kix32 startup.
Ruud van Velsen has explain that once in one of those topics.
The only way to prevent the creation of kixtart.log is:
- run kxrpc service
greetings.

btw: we know that some of you users aren't really logging on to the server.
a solution is that you delete that file after running the last KIX32.EXE
call in your logon batch file.
