I can't seem to get this command to work. I want to be able use it with variable arguments. For example, I want to use it as follows:

USE $DRV $PATH

This does not work for me? Is this a limitation of the command, or is there a workaround syntax I can use? Please let me know.

Don't know if your problem is OS or KiX version specific. THe following works on Win2k running KiX 3.62:

code:

break on

$drv="H:"
$path="\\pdc\netlogon"

use $drv $path

get $

Dear,

Welcome to the board.

We make some extension to LLigetfa script.
Our version which also include some code for debugging

code:

cls
break on
$drv="H:"
$path="\\server\netlogon"
? "Start mapping $drv '$path'"
IF (Exist($drv) = 1)
USE $drive /delete /persistent
? "status USE $drv /delete /persistent: @error (serror)"
ENDIF
USE $drv "$path"
? "status USE $drv '$path': @error (serror)"
GET $

Let us know the results. Very important is "what are your values for
the variables $drv and $path".

greetings.

btw: two questions:
- what kixtart version are you usings?
- what are your clients and servers for type of windows?

Wow, I'm impressed with the speed of your replies! Yes, this took care of it. The trick was in adding a blank space after the drive letter variable. I suspected that a simple thing like this would fix it. Thanks to all who replied!
