Is it possible to automate a task of updating Internet Explorer (security updates) throught scripts?

Have you looked into the new "Chain Tool" from Microsoft? It is supposed to be able to chain patches together.

I know for qchain and used it.
I have had problems with SP2 and Microsfot Proxy (128bit encryption in SP2) so I used qchain to apply abouth 40-50 pacthes (both SP2 and SP3) in once to avoid 40 restars of server.
It work great, but my users are not so computer literate so I am looking a way to patch IE (dont want to use WinInstall LE) using a kixtart or without it.

For Internet Explorer, you should probably be looking into the IEAK and is available from - http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ieak/default.asp

This should give the ability to not only Deploy but provide updates for Internet Explorer to your clients as well.

Yes, since we are in hurry we decided to use UpdateExpert in the trial period.
My current script works only with the combination of Windows 2000 and IE6.
I will post the script in a few days as soon as I test it enough.

btw there are two scripts one is a server and other is a client side.
I will post explanation how to use it, because it is a some way specific so anyone can understand how it work.
