Woops, didn't read your original posting that well!, you did already mention you wanted to use it with cloning... Ok, well, SysPrep is the way you want to go then...

For NT4, it will ask you the computername at first boot, and then create a unique SID for the installation...

By the way, Microsoft will only give support on problems with cloning or cloned machines, if SysPrep has been used for the cloning... (at least that was their policy 6 months ago)
