I am having a weird drive mapping problem. So of my users are getting their mappings and other are not. Yet, when I logon to their machine, I do not get the maps either. It seems to be machine specific, but not OS specific. I have a flurry of 95/98/NT/2000.

I am using a batch file to call kix32 (obviously) and I can copy the command line out of the batch file, run the command line, and the mappings appear.

Any thoughts?

If you are getting no logon script at all, check and make sure that your netlogon share is replicated to all domain controllers.

Did you bring a new Domain controller on line recently?

There is only one domain controller and no, nothing is new.

Could you post the script, so we can have a look?

This does sound like a domain controller problem. Are you sure you do not have a "backup domain controller" (BDC)?

The problem I believe is the batch file that calls the kix32 script.

-FILENAME: login.bat-
-*-*-*-*-*-
@echo off
%0\..\kix32.exe %0\..\global.kix
:end
-*-*-*-*-*-

-SCRIPT-
$GROUP=APPS
IF INGROUP($GROUP)
use f: "\\NTACC\APPS"
ENDIF

$GROUP=DB
IF INGROUP($GROUP)
use t: "\\NTACC\DB"
ENDIF

That is a cut out of the script, there are more of the same mappings in place.

Thanks,
Jason
