The only reasons to migrate to another environment are:
- the manager want it. mostly his argument will be
maintenance, but mostly he isn't or wasn't a programmer
at all.
it is mostly must easier to create a document with word
or another word processing package and print it,
then learning a new programming language with the nice
features you just want to use.
- as programmer you detects that some functions aren't possi-
ble with the program languages you are using.
In the last decate a great amount of new systems and languages
were published, but most of them are already dead or are used
by a very small group of users.
F.e. who knows Microsoft Fortran (= yet not available anymore)
and Microsoft Pascal (= never created. Borland Delphi isn't the
same)?
