It is my understanding that by default, every re-boot restores the admin shares. Thus Saleem, your problem users must be methodically de-activating them after every bootup or they have found out how to permenently de-activate them. (This is not common knowledge.) In either case, you are facing serious opposition from some of your users. It is my experience that fighting gorilla tactics with your own gorilla tactics is usually not a good idea.

If I had the inclination, I believe I could prevent administrators from accessing my NT machine no matter what they tried. Maybe some of these users have both the inclination & knowledge to lock you out. I think this is a losing and unproductive game.
