Here is what I'm using.....

:Main
$ReturnCode = ADDPROGRAMITEM("f:\g2.exe","More Good Grief Good Grammar","",0,"f:\",0,0)
IF $ReturnCode = 0
? "Added program item 'More Good Grief Good Grammar' to current group..."
ENDIF
EXIT 0

This works great but it places it under "Programs" and I want it to go one more level like "Programs\ESL" what am I missing?

Welcome to the board !

Someone correct me if I'm wrong - but that is just the way it works - and there's no nothing we can do about it.

We had the same problem over here - so we just copy the user shortcuts from a server directly into the user's start menu or program folder at login...

Shawn.

Yep, I have to disappoint you, it only goes one layer deep

I don't think there are many people who use it because of this. Most people (including myself) just use the method that Shawn describes.

If you search the board for ADDPROGRAMITEM you will find some of my attempts to create start-menu by using this command. I gave it up because of the reason described above.
